36°N Part-Time Front Desk Associate

As the “face” of 36 Degrees North, our Front Desk Team is the first point of contact for our members and their guests. They go above and beyond to support and connect our members with the workspace, community, and resources they need to keep being awesome! Duties + Responsibilities:

Community

  • When scheduled at front desk, be present all times unless completing back of house duties and front desk is covered
  • Welcome guests, members, and partners to the space
  • Ensure all members and guests check in and that their host is notified of their arrival
  • Answer the phone and assist with phone-related enquiries
  • Answer the Helpdesk communication channels and respond in a timely manner, escalating any issues to the supervisor
  • Assist with room bookings for members and external customers
  • Track all member communications via our CRM

Facility

  • Complete opening and closing task lists including (but not limited to) unlocking doors, flipping conference rooms, brewing coffee, ensuring cleanliness of kitchen spaces etc.
  • Communicate any facility issues with supervisor
  • Track inventory supplies and maintain orderings lists
  • Collect, organize, and distribute mail
  • Conduct quality-control space walkthroughs and communicate any immediate issues to Supervisor

Event Support

  • The Front Desk Associate will be scheduled to support events happening in our locations, with the following responsibilities:
  • Man the front desk at all times and perform check-in support duties for members, guests and event attendees
  • Support setup and teardown for events including furniture, catering, coffee, signage, presentations, and other assigned tasks
  • Generate post-event reports

Requirements:

  • Two years of college education in business or related field preferred, but not required
  • At least 2 year’s experience in customer service or hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurial ecosystem and community preferred, but not required
  • Availability to work 12-32 hours per week, with flexibility from 7:45am - 9:00pm on weekdays and 8:00am - 6:00pm on weekends.
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds
  • Must know how to use Gmail, Google Docs, and macOS
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication and positive attitude
