Becoming Winston Churchill

On Tuesday, September 27, we had the pleasure of hosting author and historian Candice Millard for a special discussion on her newest book "Hero of the Empire." The book uncovers the early years of Winston Churchill's life and digs into how his experiences as a young man turned him into one of the key leaders of the 20th century. Tulsa Mayor-elect G.T. Bynum moderated the discussion. During his introduction, he told the audience that he's a big Candice Millard fan, and when he was asked to interview her, the first thought that came to mind was the Saturday Night Live episode when Chris Farley interviewed Paul McCartney. Needless to say, G.T. kept his cool a lot better than Chis did!
