Here’s how it works: Job creators register their organization and build a profile on the Me in 3 platform where they post their open positions. Each job posting has a unique link that can be shared everywhere you normally share your jobs. Applicants are required to submit a quick, informal video introducing themselves, giving their personality, passion, drive, and communication style a chance to shine. This process aims to eliminate “resumé regret” and allows hiring managers to find top talent and identify soft skills that can’t be shown on a resume!
Me in 3 was launched in 2020, two years after co-founder Marcus Engelke was hiring for an open sales manager position and became determined to find a better and faster way for hiring managers to learn the things about a candidate that a resumé can never show. He presented the idea of a video screening platform to a group of similarly-frustrated individuals who would soon become his co-founders, and they began building Me in 3 in early 2019.
Quickly after launching the production version of Me in 3 in March of 2020, traction to the platform picked up as unemployment rates rose and jobs, along with their hiring processes, became remote. As the world has made its trek back towards normal, Me in 3 has adapted and grown, applying its solution to not just the hiring process but to almost any process where there is an application involved- like Greek recruiting! After a slight change to the platform, Me in 3 immediately signed the University of Texas at Austin, Clemson, Texas A&M and a slew of other large universities.
Me in 3 joined the 36°N Incubator in July 2021 and has found great value in working alongside other entrepreneurs in tech.
“The community support and networking opportunities are incredible. We love plugging into the growing tech community and working with other like minded entrepreneurs."
The Me in 3 team has a lot to celebrate recently, as they cheer on their partner Mike Singletary, NFL Hall of Famer, while he competes on CBS's Beyond the Edge. The reality show gives celebrities the chance to live in the jungle and compete for money on behalf of their chosen charity. Mike is competing on behalf of his nonprofit, Changing Our Perspective, which exists to facilitate transformation in the lives of under-resourced adolescents in America. Through their innovative technology solutions with trusted partnerships like Me in 3, they are tackling the disparity gap in education, vocational readiness, and access in health and mental wellness. Me in 3 is proud to be the primary human resources technology and career services partner for the organization!
