Testing Revolutionized: Quick Grading. No Scantrons. No Clickers.

August 18, 2016

Thanks to a Tulsa entrepreneur, students and teachers are saying buh-bye to scantrons and hello to GradeDeck.

GradeDeck is an automated examination platform that's changing the way teachers administer tests. With GradeDeck, it literally takes a second to grade a test and get a statistical analysis of the score. (To see how it works, check out the video below. Big thanks to News on 6 reporter Annie Chang for her coverage.)

As Co-Founder and CEO Grant Burke explains, "This system is going to save teachers time and energy by reducing turnaround time after exams, improving feedback to students and reducing costs."

Grant's also a member of 36 Degrees North. From his desk here in Tulsa, he's been able to reach out to teachers around the world and get them connected to his new product. Now, over 50 teachers in 10 different institutions- from elementary schools in Oklahoma to universities in Saudi Arabia and Germany- are using the platform.

And guess what, teachers? GradeDeck is completely free. Grant wanted to make the most basic level of service free for any and all teachers as a way of giving back to the educational community. (There's also a more advanced version that only costs $30/year.) To find out more about the service, check out the GradeDeck website and sign up today.

Happy testing!
